3 Easy Tips To Stay Motivated To Work Out
1. Ease Yourself Into It Slowly
The first common mistake many people make when starting a new exercise program is to work out too hard at the beginning. Starting off slowly and building yourself up steadily over time is the best way to integrate a new fitness routine that suits your lifestyle, fitness level, and inspires you to stick with it.
Going in too heavy at the beginning can often lead to burning out in the first few weeks. This can not only ruin any long-term plans for a regular fitness program, but it can also result in damage to your muscles and body.
Not easing yourself in nice and slow is one of the main reasons that so many people stop exercising before they really find their groove. So first things first, be mindful of building yourself up slowly but surely.

2. Look The Part And The Rest Will Simply Fall Into Place
Another major problem with fitness motivation is getting to your allotted exercise time slot of the day and wrestling with yourself over whether you can be bothered to do it or not.
We’ve all been there. When you feel like this, just do one very simple thing. Get your gear on and it will give you the boost you need.
Let’s do this!
So if you have old, ragged workout gear (no judgment here), treat yourself to some lovely new ones, such as these workout clothes for women and men that will have you feeling the part in no time at all.
Just looking sporty has a strong influence on your mood, and once you have your favorite gym gear on, the workout will simply follow suit as you instantly feel ready and raring to go.

3. Just Do It – No Excuses
This really is the biggest obstacle of all when it comes to sticking to a new exercise regimen – Finding excuses not to do it.
We can always find an excuse (very rarely an actual reason) about why something else should take priority over our workouts. But giving in to those excuses is one of the most sure-fire ways of guaranteeing your exercise plan will never really take off.
Giving into excuses makes way for discouragement and feelings of self-disappointment. Whereas blocking out or reframing the tempting excuses will bring natural highs and feelings of motivation.
And, before you know it, your new fitness routine will be one that you truly love as it makes you feel stronger, happier, and generally more positive in your day-to-day life.
(Not to mention all the awesome health benefits exercise provides.)

Great tips! I haven’t been keeping fit for lack of motivation after my injury. This is a good reminder for me to get into shape. Thanks!
That’s great! So many people want to see immediate results, and I get that. But it’s good that you recognize the importance of easing yourself into it so it can be a positive in your life.
Yep, I am someone who REALLY struggles with the motivation! I’m find once I’m doing it and after I feel great, but dang it’s a battle in my mind every day to get my butt into gear to just workout!! These tips are so helpful! I’m definitely going to get myself some new gear to look the part 😉
Thanks for sharing this! I understand the struggle. I always feel better after working out and sometimes just knowing that motivates me to start. And having some cute workout clothes doesn’t hurt. 🙂
It’s actually really funny that I don’t want to go to gym until I put on my workout clothes, then I shift gears and get things done!
It’s great that you know this about yourself! This is true for many people, I think…myself included. Thanks!
I am trying #1 right now. I am getting there. Slowly and surely! Thanks for the great motivation!
