I am definitely bookmarking this post as I’ve been looking for hobbies to do with my kiddos especially now that I have them home full time. You are so right, hobbies improve health – mentally and physically. It’s amazing how something as enjoyable as thrift shopping and listening to podcasts can actually be a hobby that you can share with your loved ones. Love this reminder to pause from the stresses of life and to enjoy it! Thank you!
Thank you! I hope you find lots of ideas for fun activities you can do with your children. I know when I had all 4 of mine at home full-time I was always looking for things they enjoyed that we could do together too.
This is such a handy list! I love taking up new hobbies. I have old hobbies I’d love to come back to but it’s harder now I have small children.
Thanks! I hear you. When you have small children it’s hard to find time for yourself. When our children were little my hobbies revolved around things I could do with them like spending time in nature, going on walks, baking, and reading books together.
With the cooler weather coming it’s time to stay home a little more and that means more time to learn something new.
This is true Sharon. I do love learning and I agree that the cooler months offer the perfect time to be indoors exploring new interests.
These are some fabulous lists. My hobby is reading–I do it daily. It helps keep me sane. I guess eating could be one as well.
Reading and eating are some of the best hobbies I know! And 2 of my favorites also.
Photography is my job so it’s not a low cost hobby, but definitely for normal people it’s a good hobby to pick up.
Good point. I was thinking of it more from the perspective of snapping photos from a cheap camera or cell phone but not too affordable as a career. 😉
